M’bemba’s Africa Trip provides students the opportunity to study, observe, and immerse themselves in the culture of Guinea, West Africa. Through the teachings of Master Drummer M'Bemba Bangoura, students receive daily drum and dance classes, attend performances, rehearsals, celebrations, and take excursions to beaches, islands and villages.

Includes all housing, classes, meals, airport pick up and drop off, and side trips.
If you want to stay longer, you can make arrangements with M'Bemba!
Does NOT include airfare to and from Guinea.
Please note: Tickets to the trip are NON refundable. Students will stay in a nice house, and the payments goes to Guinea to prepare everything for the students arrival.
The food is a variety of delicious sauces with fish, chicken, rice, salads, and fresh breads. Bottled water will be served with every meal. Vegetarian options available. Please let us know if you have any food allergies or requirements.
You will need to book your ticket to Conakry, the capital city of Guinea. Please arrive between December 27-29th, we will arrange to pick you up at the airport. Once you book your ticket, please let us know your flight information and all details of times and contact information.
Please plan your return trip to leave Guinea on January 11,12,13th. Or you can stay longer if you want to make arrangements with M'bemba.

A Yellow Fever shot is required. Please refer to Travel.State.Gov. (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/Guinea.html) and the CDC (www.CDC.gov) for information about travel, safety and health when traveling to Guinea. Although not mandatory, we strongly suggest taking a malaria preventative medicine. Please discuss which one is best with your doctor as well as other vaccines.
