SEPTEMBER 12th - 15th, 2024 | Iroquois Springs - Rock Hill, NY
You’ll need your own djembe to take any djembe class - you can bring one, or sign up in advance to rent one. Sometimes we have extra djembes to rent out during the event, but the only way to guarantee you’ll have a drum to play is to rent in advance.
Each djembe class will have djembes available for people who rented in advance. The drums are not to be taken out of the room. So you will not need to carry it around!
You’ll need your own dundun to take Dundun Dance class. If you add a dundun rental to your order when you register for the event, we’ll put you on a list. All the dunduns are kept in the room where Dundun Dance classes are held - they are not to be taken out of the room.
If you have ordered your rental in advance (ideally during your registration), you’ll be able to check out a dundun at the beginning of the Dundun Dance class, to be returned at the end of class. Sometimes we have extra dunduns to rent out during the event, but the only way to guarantee you’ll have a drum to play is to rent in advance.
Rent a Djembe or Dundun
All Other Classes
All other instruments (Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, etc.) are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis for each class.
Please bring instruments
There are many folks who don't have instruments who will want to drum, and although we will bring a truckload of drums from our warehouse, we're always worried that we won't have enough!
If you can provide a significant number of dunduns, congas, or other instruments we need, we can discuss a discount on your retreat ticket.
Please bring your own drums to play and let us know if you can help by bringing extra drums. We have a rental system in place to reserve a djembe, but we are counting on the retreat community to help us with more djembes, dunduns, balafons, congas, etc.
